Directing for the stage
“My journey into the world of theatre has been shaped by a deep sense of gratitude and purpose. I was adopted from Ukraine at the age of three and raised in the U.S; where I have been fortunate to experience a life full of opportunity. This unique background has instilled in me a profound appreciation for the chances I have been given and has made me acutely aware that we cannot afford to let opportunities pass us by. This mindset fuels my passion for theatre and my desire to share untold stories. Every performance, every character, and every show represents a voice that deserves to be heard, and I am dedicated to ensuring that those voices reach their full potential.
Academically, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Directing from Sam Houston State University and a Master’s degree in Acting from Florida Atlantic University. Throughout my career, I have directed fully realized productions, including Peter Pan by James M. Barrie and Endgame by Samuel Beckett. Additionally, I have had the privilege of collaborating as an Assistant Director on productions such as Violet, Peter and the Starcatcher, One Man, Two Guvnors, and The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940. Each of these opportunities has expanded my artistic horizon and deepened my respect for the collaborative nature of theatre.
As I relocate to New York City, my drive to continue developing as a director and actor only grows. Theatre, to me, is not just about the stories we tell; it’s about amplifying voices and perspectives that might otherwise go unheard. My life story and journey have shaped the way I approach my craft—an unyielding desire to elevate the human experience through art.”
